Walk with the Dogs

One evening we took the entire family for a walk though the forest preserve with the dogs..... (Yes this was back in April... it has taken me awhile to post these).  The kids had a great time walking the dogs!

Charlie is 5!!!

I feel like the first year of your child's life goes fast but you remember it because there are so many milestones for you to track throughout the year.  Then all of a sudden you are celebrating their 5th birthday and you can not remember how you got there.

I can't believe we are celebrating Charlie's Pre K graduation, him heading off to Kindergarten in the fall and him turning 5!  It is crazy how much he grew this year.  His writing, his vocabulary, personality, imagination, everything!! He is now a boy- no more baby, no more toddler, "a real boy"!  I'm so excited for Charlie to head off to kindergarten.  I'm excited for him to meet new friends and create new experiences/memories.  I however do cry every time I think about how fast he is growing.

Lets take a walk down memory lane......

Wisconsin Dells

We took a long weekend and went to WI Dells with our friends and had a BLAST!!!
It was our first time going and we can not wait to go back.  It was nice b/c it was only a 3 hour drive, had an indoor and outdoor waterpark, tons for the kids to do, and a downtown area if you wanted to go out for the night.

Thanks for such a great weekend Melissa & Ken!

Henry 6 months

I can not believe Henry is already 6 months old.  His wellness visit went well.  Although we are at the same office- I decided to change his primary doctor.  I loved his last doctor but he is so busy and every time we would make his appointments we would end up being there for 2 hours- who has time for that?  I was very happy with the lady we saw and will continue to request her for Henry and the other two.

At 6 months:  18.5lbs & 27 1/2 inches long.

I had a lot of questions for the doctor this time around.  Henry still isn't rolling over and although he will arch his back and turn himself around so he can see what he wants- he does not like the actual rolling over motion.  The doctor assured us that not rolling over is one of the last indicators that they would look for to determine if there was a deficiency.  She said that if a child rolls over late (or not at all) generally they are late crawlers.  Charlie and Emmy both didn't crawl until 9 months anyways so I'm thinking Henry is just going to go straight to walking.  He is doing good sitting up and can for awhile on his own.  He is much more vocal now and is LOVING the exersaucer.

My favorite things about this age is how they look at you and can't help but smile.  He is getting such a fun personality- he loves to be tickled, laugh and bounce.  It seems like the crazier you are with him the more he likes it!

Henry is in LOVE with his big brother and sister.  Anytime he is fussy we just send Charlie and Emmy over by him and he is back to smiling.  They are both so great with him- although Charlie loves to be IN HIS FACE at all times.

Happy 1/2 birthday Henry Dean! We love you so much and can't wait to see what the next 6 months have in store for us!

(Due to demand-- here is the little man)
