No One Likes Mondays....

So I didn't post until today! :)

Weekend Recap:

Friday was Mike and I's 5 year anniversary!!! :) We decided to go to dinner with the kids; which was a blast.  We went to their favorite place- Red Robin.  As we were leaving our house, Charlie ran around looking for something.  When I asked him what he was trying to find he said he needed to take his wallet so he could pay for dinner.  He has an a few old insurance cards that he uses as credit cards- so he was ready to go!  What a sweet boy!!!  We ate too much then went to a few stores to walk it off.  The kids enjoyed helping us pick out a new diaper bag for their baby brother.

Saturday was girls/boys day.  Charlie and Mike went to his sister's to help them move into their NEW house.  The girls stayed home!!! We meet Emmy's best friend, her sister (who is in Charlie's class) and her mom at the New Lenox Kids Fest for a bit then off to Pizza Hut for Princess Pizza!!!! Yes we have to order princess pizza (which is just a pan cheese).  We went home for a nap then attempted to head to Target.  It started to look a bit dark before we left, then when we were in the store we heard some rumbles.  We quickly got the few things we "needed" and to the car we went.  We made it to the car just in time before the hurricane, but the 5 minute drive home was not good.  I couldn't see ANYTHING!!! But we made it, got inside and decided it was a good evening to read some books and hang out on the couch together.

Daddy and Charlie made it home soon after.  Emmy was so relieved to see her boys!!! We had a great day together but there is nothing like all being together-- even if it is crazy.

Sunday we got to go to the zoo with the kids friends (mentioned above) and their parents.  It was so fun to watch them interact with one another!!! Not to mention it is so nice for Mike and I to also have adults to talk with.  It was hot and we were ready to head for home after lunch.  I think we all needed a nap! The night ended with cleaning the bank, showers and to bed we went.

Monday-- we have now been home from vacation for a week and haven't put our swimsuits on once since we got home- so I suggested going swimming.  Mike's parents are nice enough to let us go to the country club that they belong to- so after work we packed up and headed to Frankfort.  Just as we get there and ready to sign in- they tell us that they just had to evacuate the pool because someone had an "accident".  After explaining to the kids that by "accident" the guy really meant poop.... they where upset/grossed out and thought it was hilarious to keep talking about it.  I have to admit I think I was as disappointed as the kids.  I wanted a little bit to feel weightless.... ha.  But lucky for us, Daddy and Grandpa put their best faces on and decided that steak (for mom) and chocolate shakes (for the kids) were the best medicine for a sad heart!!! AND IT WORKED!!!!
We are planning to try the pool again on Wednesday.

Hope you all have a great day!!!
